I guess this is a part of my life that I didn't tell much to people. I've restricted the viewing of my tagged photos on Facebook - firstly because I'm very concern about being 'too proud' (riak) of what I'm doing based on a hadith saying, “No one will enter Paradise who has atom’s-weight of pride in his heart.” Secondly, I'm concern about a woman's aurah (modesty in dressing) especially if how she dresses would arouse another person's temptation. I just like to archive this part of my life - the classroom. The students whom I see as friends or intimate strangers. The realm which I sometimes call, my second home~ Several of my students tried to take some pictures of me while in class - and I thought it is truly a kind, human gesture. Msylh - may god bless them. -remykm ![]() ![]() ![]() ___________________ *An Other Cup is an album by Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens). On the album cover, the singer is credited as "Yusuf" with a cover label identifying him as "the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens". In an interview as to why he presented both names, he said, "You know, the cup is there to be filled ... with whatever you want to fill it with. For those people looking for Cat Stevens, they'll probably find him in this record. If you want to find Yusuf, go a bit deeper, you'll find him." “The believer who mixes with people and bears their insults with patience is better than the one who does not mix with people or bear their insults with patience.” (Bukhari) In a hadith reported by Imam Ahmad (5/245), one day the Prophet s.a.w. took Mu’aadh by the hand and said: "O’ Muaadh, by God I love you, so I advise you, O’ Mu’aadh, never forget to recite, after every prayer, O’ God, help me to remember You and to give thanks to You and to worship You properly (Allahumma, a’inni ‘ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ‘ibaadatika)."
